Boutique content development company Waterhaven Media has released its first print publication, a paperback edition of the John Crane novel Rope on Fire.
First in the John Crane spy adventure series, Rope on Fire was initially published in an ebook edition in 2016. A fan favorite, Rope on Fire has been followed by three more John Crane novels as well as a pair of novellas and a digital boxed set. It is now the first Crane novel to break into print.
“We had always planned to publish the John Crane series in paperback,” said Nina Sullivan, Waterhaven Media’s Director of Strategy and New Product Development. “The question was when would be the right time. We devoted our resources to building the series in ebook format and making sure we had a solid product that could engage fans. We’ve done that. Now we’re ready to expand into new product lines.”
Author Mark Parragh is happy to see the Crane series in print as well. “I kept hearing from fans looking for print copies,” he said, “either because they wanted to be able to give them as gifts, or just because they liked the feel of a physical book. I’m glad we can bring John Crane to readers in a new way, and maybe find new fans out there.”
Rope on Fire is currently the only book in the Crane series available in paperback, but Waterhaven Media plans to bring out paperback editions of the other Crane novels in their original publication sequence. The second book, Wrecker, will be released soon.
The paperback and ebook editions of Rope on Fire are available now at Amazon.com. The John Crane series is also available through Kindle Unlimited.
